Technical 34 pickup chop

Hi guys, I'm going to be doing my first chop on my pu and had a question about the
windshield slider , does the stud on the post and the pivot bracket on the windshield frame
stay in the same stock location or will they need to be moved down , just trying to get a feel for
how things will end up.

If it were mine I would gut it below the pivot and leave it where it is.

 

I've done a few and always chop above the hinge and cut the windshield above the slider so they stay aligned.

 

Above the hinge and above the windshield stud? Almost at the top?
