  8. it looks like they had to move the crossmember forward when they put the v8 in. they used a hurst stile mount in the front and the later v8 bell housing, this is what pulled the drive shaft forward. DSCF4663.JPG DSCF4664.JPG

  9. i cut off the tube that the rubber/bearing mounted to and made a new one with my slip roll and welded it in place. i then cut the backside off so the u bolts would not hit, like they did. this should work.
    new u-joints coming tomorrow.

For how clean the upper floors of this Truck appear, (Art Work) not included,
The lower floors and basement are pretty nasty, This thing needs to come apart and be made right.
Reminds me of a car down here at the beach all covered with glued on Sea Shells....

I've seen that car!! On the missing crossmember bolts, he probably needed them to bolt down that El-Camino...

Does he realize that Connecticut will tax him for all of those additional "vehicles" on that truck? Seems like someone's idea of a "theme" vehicle.

  20. between the rails they just sprayed bed liner [?] over the grease, rust and oil. i can clean that up. i just need to get it mechanically right.

they will come as i move along on the project but i think this will be put back up for sale. it is too heavy a truck for what he actually wanted. it is a i ton and would be better as a work truck, not a cruiser.

  21. Holy crap! I'm actually sitting here in front of my monitor with my mouth hanging open, at a complete loss for words. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like this. Wait, I have to go back and look at the pictures again. :)

Check the tires and rims for heat, if they are warm the truck has a problem with...
    Hot Wheels.

The person who put it all together knew they were going to be loading it up with cargo. so they went with the one ton option! Joe

  27. I don't think there are any drugs left in there. The previous owner already consumed them all. Pretty sure those crossmember bolts had to go in an effort to save some weight. It is only a 1ton truck.
