    Finished up a lamp for my dad for Christmas. Briggs cylinder head and connecting rod, bearing out of my 4-71 and some gears out of my Humvee winch. Hood ornament is 48 Chevrolet which my dad used to have. If only I could take decent pictures, looks way better in person.

  28. Sure are a lot of styling cues that went directly into the Chrysler Turbine. Elwood Engel was one amazing stylist!

    Agreed... Elwood was doing some very unique designs. It doesn't seem like he was at all shy about taking his styling cues over to Chrysler with him. The "Turbine" lines and angles scream "La Galaxie", eh Jigger? ;) To me, the side view of both of these cars, from the belt line down, scream "Thunderbird". There is something about those headlights and front quarter panels on "La Galaxie" that reminds me of the '63 Polara too :)
