When I first caught a glimpse of the Hudson, my mind instantly thought Citroen DS.
Isn't it amazing how two 'unique' cars can have such similar profiles? (OK, I know the glasshouse on the DS is relatively so much larger, but the roofline made me think they were the same)

Oh yeah, and swi66, I had to delete 30 photos from your post when reposting the first pic. I nearly needed to stop and have a cup of tea in the middle of deleting them all. I get it that you don't just post one pic at a time like so many others do, but 30.......!!!!!????
    You're really making a point, aren't you?
    :)

You Tube link to a NSW state roads dept documentary title Suicide of a City. Made in Sydney, in 1965.

It seems it's supposed to depict the terrible effects that traffic is having on the Sydney city centre in the middle of the day. I didn't see too many people who were upset by it, so I guess it failed on that front, but it shows what the vehicle fleet on Australian roads looked like in the mid-60's.
A time when (GM) Holden had around 50% of the market, most of the rest was Falcons and Valiants with a few UK origin cars and a small handful of US/Canadian manufactured cars.
I reckon it's worth a look - hope you enjoy.
    Cheers.

  5. Nice footage. This is one of my favorite vintage videos, Los Angeles in the late 1940s.

All you have to do to capture one photo is right click on it. Then select "view image info" when that box pops up find the section that says "Location" highlight that string of info and copy it. Then simply click on the box at the top of your reply page that looks like two mountains (next to the smiley face button.)

When a box pops up just paste the info you copied into that box and only that photo will be in your reply.

It is simple and takes less time to do than it took to write this reply
