    The Praying Mantis, the car was out of El Paso, Texas and the photo was taken in Deming, New Mexico on July, 4th 1966. It had a blown 327 with a Turbo Hydro transmission and ran a 10.66 E.T. The crew was Joe Hicks, Dave Akers, Richard Clark, Chito Barron and Mike Keough

    Just saw a feature story on AAron Bedrosian's '39 on hotrod.com. Great family,too.

    1940Willys, that's the Mura Brothers pickup. Here are more pictures of it in the 60s.

    As a kid, I can remember staring at this pickups magazine image for hours. Imagine my surprize when it turned up at our local indoor show. So.... just one more DSCN1280.JPG

    Rob, Thanks for filling in the blanks on a vintage picture that I had never seen before. Do you know anything about the White one called Suddenly? I have never seen that one either.

    ^ You seldom see a stock Willys Coupe anymore. Very few have survived.

    Kilmer ran against Gary Hart in the final of A/GS at The World Gasser Championships. Unfortunately, he had a wounded transmission.
    I have been trying to remember if I ever saw this one at Green Valley. No info, but wonder if
    the 426 number refers to the naturally aspirated heart under the hood.
