If that is the same sedan it has different wheels. Either way it/or they are outstanding. Love sedans as much as coupes.

I'm pretty sure it's just the lighting. Not only is it the same car, the two pictures were shot on the same cruise, same day.

Car that low would draw the "highway patrol", eh? This post should have background music from Junior Brown.

Heres my '40. Picked it up a few weeks ago partially completed. Working on finishing it up and making a few changes here and there.

Appears to me you have a nice car there, and shouldn't need much to keep you happy next Spring when you can see the pavement again up there in the frozen Northland!:) You've got all Winter to get it right! This from an old Northwest Airlines retired machinist.

Thanks! Its a blast to drive so far. Hopefully will be able to get some interior in it this spring. As far as the grill chin goes, this one already has a few scrapes on it! Barely 3 inches clearance at the moment.

The 40s running a narrowed nova sub frame with fatman narrowed control arms and I tossed in some narrow trak ECI disc brakes to pull the track in more to steer. 57 ford 9 inch in the rear with parallel leafs. Drivetrain is a little OT (lt1 powered).

Thanks! The fronts are 195/65's on 15x5's and the rears are 235/75's on 15x6's. The front is cut coils on the nova sub and the rear is running 2 inch blocks. Always loved 40's that sit nice and low!

Although the Nova clip is an unusual choice in a prewar Ford, I applaud the combination you're running. I very much like the Nova clip in my shoebox, and the tire sizes you're running are the ones I chose for the car in my avatar.

Great thread. Hopefully you won't mind my 39' deluxe crashing the party along with the 40' pick up that followed me home from Arizona last month. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1448595194.284738.jpg

Don't know how well it rides and drives at highway speeds with that stance, but that is one great looking 40.

I agree Don, the color, the red wheels, the whitewalls, all make it a standout car. Owned by Lou Nolfo, St Peters, Missouri.

Agree on the '40 standard, beautiful car. Is that a stock '40 Ford color? If yes, what was it called?
