    Scott-

You are killing me "lots of guys set lofty goals, then never meet them"....sounds like the long timer with three fingers at my first job saying "don't wear gloves around the drill press"....

I was actually talking about me....lol!

I had big plans for the thing for years, instead of just getting it rolling down the road and bolting stuff on as I went.

Then there was the debacle with the 10:30pm motor assembly the night before last year's Meltdown....lol

    Enjoyed the article, well done.
Well I get my heads back today, so I hope to be a little bit ahead of the game this year. And do a little bit of test and tune before the Meltdown.

    Hey Man!

Get a little "Fabulizing" done on those ports?(My Boy and I use that as a generic term for "speed enhancement".He used to refer to nitrous as "The Fabulizer".lol!)
That's a really great combination,in one of the coolest cars EVER.
We definitely need to line these things up and run em at this year's event!

Looking forward to seeing everybody again this year:)

This is the ONLY event on the planet that many of us will do ANYTHING to attend.

You are going to thank yourself for going....Or hate yourself for not going years ago![emoji16]

Any of you guys seen or used this 9 inch Ford pumpkin?
Had a guy drop this off for me to build for an OT drag car.
It looks off shore to me. 20151201_190034.jpg

  14. They are on the internet, I'd call them and ask if they are cast here or off shore.

Scott does this mean that the shaker will be good to go this year!
R/T is reaction time lets see if you got it.
Soon January 2 @ 12:00 AM and any time after until they meet the capacity of the ground, witch is around 500 cars racing

Car is ready, but it has been ready the last two years I signed up. Work has gotten in the way twice now. Can't fuss, at least I've got a job and am able to play with this thing. Hopefully this will be the year, third time's a charm, right? I know, VZM.IMG_20151124_065556.jpg IMG_20151011_112930954~2.jpg gotta get busy scrubbing letters off the tires.

It will be good to go even if I have to sell a kidney on the black market to finance it...lol!

And I'm a little lazy on that tree usually....I hate losing on a red light,so I'm always over cautious on the light.
I guess I better start living dangerously,or that ol Mopar of yours is just gonna walk away from the Shaker outta the hole.
I saw the kinda lights y'all were cuttin last year!!!Lotsa zeros in there!:)

First off, thank you. Goes 11.70's with a 430 buick. Hoping the new engine will be ready in time, hoping for some 10's with it. 464 with more compression, better heads, bigger cam, bigger carb, bigger, bigger, bigger........

You're gonna be seeing LOTS of it this year Brother!:)
And you know I actually own at least ONE car....Heck,it's parked in your back yard.lol!;)

Just making arrangements to get the last few details squared away for assembly, then dyno time to get the carbs sorted out,and dump that sucker into the car!

I do think I'll need to spend some time putting a deeper set of gears in it though.....

Scott you have some big talk to back up and a few of us to shut down.
I know that Salty and myself are a bit slower than Panneton , Wrenchbender can;t forget Ticky boo , we all want a peace of that Ford, to see how well it has been built. We watch you build it last year.

Black Stude that is a beautiful car you have to come and have some fun you will not regret it. This will be your vacation destination spot to come to for years.

Ric kinda has unfair inside information on the motor,as he had the heads for a while to digitize the chambers to match the piston domes to,and his buddy Bryce spec'd the Isky solid roller for it,and I have a feeling that with what him and Marc have coming together for The Child,I would be bringing a knife to that gunfight!lol!:)
I think it's going to be an all out war between my little Ford and Norb's Tickety Boo Chevy, that big bodacious bundle of Mopar-y goodness you're rockin',Salty's Real Fine 409,That sweet as heck gold charger of Ron's,Wrenchbender's Gnarlyass blown Willys pickup,Jeff's Okie Doker Driveshaft Croaker, and a few others...:)

    I can't wait:)

Dat aint a knife your holding in your avatar.

I think the new virgin block has bigger holes than the old bored out block.

If I cant get Tickety Boo running better in the heat, I should have a nice dash cam video of the Shakers rear left turn
    signal flashing.

The $39.00 dash cam gave me real nice video of Squirrels ( really fast Nova tail end ) and the tail end of a nice
silver 65 Plymouth that blew by me on the big end. ( Must have been a Hemi )

Have lots of tuning to do and also the car and I on a diet.

If Rics building the motor he told me about last year, it will be like you bringing a
a Ford to a Chevy fight. :D LOL

Sounds like you guys are stepping up for next year.
I am just bringing a big ol rusty bucket full of well used parts.

  29. Our other engine getting finished will depend alot on how smooth my move to NC and working from home goes. If we go with Marc's cruiser 410 again, I think we have a 10.50 in there with nasty conditions & maybe a 10.30 something if we bring nice weather like 2014. If we are able to get our mad mouse together, I think we can ultimately lower those ET's by a second. If we wanna go any quicker than that, I think its gonna take a good bit lighter car.
