Holy crap.....I get the feeling that if there were any SBC motors in the back part of the Bible, you know, where everything gets really scary....That would be the SBC that would be in there.[emoji15]

My shanty town shop has held up to the winters that we have just fine.

  16. You can use emery cloth to get that chalky stuff off the top - probably casting flash. o_O

I checked the PEM web site and they are saying this third member is rated for 600 HP
Not sure what he has in front of it.
Kinda funny how things work. When he called he said he had one of the Strange N cases maybe I misunderstood him and he said he had a strange looking case.

  18. That chalky stuff (thermal barrier by H.M.Elliot in North Carolina) is gonna allow us to run our 14.5:1/800hp maniacle mouse on a lower octane, less expensive grade of race gas, &/or E85 if we should choose.

Gonna get the new slicks mounted on my Ol steelies Friday afternoon so I can get busy mocking them up:)

Then it's back to engine stuff, finishing exercising some electrical demons, and plumbing/wiring the line lock.

    Hi James :)

We did all the hacking out of rusty crap, and replacement with shiny new metal (and cheated by an inch or two where possible to allow for a little more space for a tire to fit),but I ran out of bucks to get an actual manly sized tire sitting under it,so it's been sitting on those wee little 26's til now.
Through the generosity of Brother Jon Tomkins we now have some 28" tires for mockup that look pretty meaty.:)

The line lock never got finished, and neither did "the Little 289 That Could"...lol

Lots to do,not much time left for the doin'......I better buckle and enlist some help.
Byron doesn't seem to want to help much:

He did help me start a "To Do List" though:

Interesting that "beating the Okie Doker" didn't make your list... I guess you like to work your way up to larger milestones

Scott as long as you can make the power to the ground that list should not be to hard. That is just a little 289 good luck!

I like to multitask Jeffro,so I'll just wheelie right on past the Ol Croaky Choker![emoji16]

Actually,I have a feeling there might be some wheelie action out of the Okie Doker this year too...

Nothing to see here Scott...that tired little 327 that has been in my car is just going to try and survive another year and maybe someday squeak out that 11 second pass

Just the same old story here.
I have been trying to trade some Mopar stuff for some more Mopar stuff but these Mopar guys are a tough nut to crack.
I seem to have some stuff that they want but to get something out of them has been my quest.

James,I find Mopar guys to be more guilty of hoarding than Ford or Chevy guys in general.
If you can tempt them into some kind of trade,or lure them into a deal with some parts they are lusting after,I have found that to be the easiest way.
