Hope not, going to try to save what I got.

Noticed that it took a lot of force to turn ( even more than a 9" ) binding?

When I took out the bolts in the C-clip eliminator the axle went tight against the axle tube edge.
Spline on both axles look good. Going to pull out spool tomorrow ( check the splines )

Put in a Moser full spool and axles about 10 years ago ( when replacing a broken axle ) every thing was ok
    then.
Painted a pin stripe on both axles, that still looks good now ( no twist ).

The problem lies with factory stock length 12 bolt rear, ( it has 15" of unsupported axle tube ends) out side the
4 link mounts. ( Needs a rear support bracing ). Hope to straighten and brace?

Hummmmm this is the first year not using rev limit on trans brake. ( found the weak link ).

    Really Cool 61 Chevy with ( NO REAR END ) + H.D. 9" = 10s

  17. Hey man, our junk already ran in the tens with freeway gears, so your fuzzy math ain't adding up for the ole Child. Better not get cross with ole lady, or she might throw some lacquer chips off her ole hinny right up in your grill.

Still in planing stages on the 61
This car someone started a pro street project and never got finished.
So somehow I have to try and make or remake this to fit the bill for my liking and some tires that we can afford.
When we picked it up we thought it was a good deal but now I am scratching my head. 20151026_151250.jpg

Just for you young guys that's a 58 Pontiac rear end.
Not sure the Charger needs that it has only made enough power to sear off all the u joint strap bolts at the rear end yoke.
My buddy Nathan was in for a ride at the big end on that ride.

For my Dad's car, absolutely nothing.
Got ready to leave for the meltdowns last year and the dog died :(

As for myself, I'm bringing a new, actually drag strip worthy car. She may or may not actually be painted by then. IMG_20150913_184216.jpg

With the warm December weather the last couple days I've gotten a lot of lil things done on car...
Replaced bad accelerator pump on front carb,
Eric suggested I look into a MSD setup. Finished install today! Wires routed & tie rapped up. Tach works now. Ignition switch mounted back on dash again. Got timing set again & plugs wires ran & clipped up...
Removed clutch cable & slid extra spark plug wire boot protector over cable & up to where it Gos between header pipes. Used two small hose clamps to hold it place. Drilled hole in bracket & used stainless tie wrap to hold it secure to bracket, holds it in place now...
Used some prep all cleaner to clean underneath car & firewall, had a lot of grease & grime to remove...! Still a lot of cleaning to do!
Car runs smoother & revs real nice...! Got yelled by girlfriend revving it up! "YOUR GOING TO BLOW IT UP"!!! LOL... Real test will be some dry pavement at end of driveway! See if it will do a burnout without falling on its face...
I saved my 2014 Meltdown video for this time of year. Broke it open & watched it. Gave me some needed motivation to get cracking on Scotts gasser again! Hard to believe it will be 3 years since he's passed in a couple days... Where's the time go!
    Jimbo...

Got to change bending motion into forward motion.

Happy it was bending not breaking stuff.:)

The spool / axle spline fit must have limited the bend.

Let me borrow your not braced 9" ( just for a weekend ).o_O

Jimbo I know of one for sure it is going to have to be a redemption run from last year and if the old charger is still around it will be there not sure on Mint-To-Be just playing for now.

Going to have a dog in the fight maybe 2017 but I'm not holding my breath because blue is not my favorite color.
