Thanks all sounds like it was saved. I had forgotten about the Plymouth next to it, I was so enamored with truck.

  2. Cool, to hear it's still around. I drive by there often and have always wondered, as they both disappeared the same time, kinda kicked myself for never stopping and asking

  3. John, Thanks for the info and speaking of Butch, here's an oldie. 1958, Milwaukee Wi. 1952 Mercury owned by Dick Bruss. Body work, paint and stripeing by Butch Brinza at age 16 or 17. Magazine article from Popular Customs, 1958.

  4. Hi Curt....I remember that car from the magazine but have never seen it in real life. Thanks for posting it. It has an obvious "West Coast" vibe to it...There were so many great cars from the Upper Midwest and in this area in particular. Hoping to see more as this thread continues. Thanks for all your help. There really is a lot of fine input from you guys in this region. Next time I'm on, I'll try to describe some cars that you may remember, it's harder that way, but maybe the description will trigger some memories...but I'm thankful for each post.....

Here's a couple of custom cars in Milwaukee in 52. This Merc was not inspired by James Dean !cid_A0B643FC83C349B5835F973B88E68882@StimacPC.jpg !cid_FB56DB1CE32C42CABC8C5BEB8912544B@StimacPC.jpg

  11. anyone remember a nailhead with injection around 62-63? I'll assume roundy roundy car or drag?

Got the injection years ago, and this is what Hilborn sent.

    How cool is that!

  17. mid 1960's, Milwaukee, Wi. indoor car show, another picture of the Henry J. I do believe the Henry J is alive and well and may have showed up at a past Iron Invasion but, a bit worse for wear and in primer.
