    Hi Guys,

I am looking to get s few opinions on wheels for a 60 Parkwood Wagon. I am kinda doing a beach cruiser theme but want it to look slick.

Current ideas revolve about wide white and chrome steel wheels or 20ish Hildebrant look alikes.

Please don't put wide whites on that car....you will destroy it. Chromed reversed with blackwalls works well for me. Even maybe a baby moon cap in the center.

The wheels on it are what it needs! Keep it as is.

If you insist on replacing what's on there, consider something mid-'60's Bellflower-ish...
... like thin (1") whitewalls on Supremes, or as-cast Americans, or chrome reversed steelies.

A deep chrome reverse gets my vote.

I popped in to suggest cast 5 spokes....turns out you have the perfect (IMO) wheels on it already.

I vote chrome reverse and white walls. Did you really say you were considering 20 inch wheels??? You do know that will instantly make your car off topic here don't you?

I would go with a set of stock 14 inch, black rims with small dog dish hub caps. You don't need special wheels because the car looks great as is.

  18. LOL I thought he meant 20 wheels. And I couldn't figure out how he was going to pull that off. Duh'Oh

Halibrand smoothies or small windows, Astros with pinners chrome revers with baby moons. Even painted steel wheels with chrome bits would work.

If I would go 20s I would go 22s.

I like the look but think chrome wheels with narrow whites would also look good. Run both on my 60 Bird but like the 5 spokes best.

In my humble opinion, reversed Supremes or OEM style chrome reverse with pinners look about perfect. Looks like you've already got the Supremes, time for some skinny whites.

The supremes look nice although they would be better with some whitewalls with the thin stripe on them. Chrome steel wheels would look good on the car too, with a white or blackwall tires but that makes it more hot rod than beach cruiser. A set of 20" wheels would be great if you want to look like you bring your TV to the pawn shop twice a month.

Astro Supremes with skinny whites. Here is my old 60 El Camino with that exact combo, and you can see how it looks on similar car to your wagon, best pic to show the wheels, don't have one direct from side:

  28. I would leave it the way it is.I took the wide white walls off my 56 buick wagon and olds station wagon.I think its a cleaner look.Bruce. 00o0o_82PxJSvNBPi_600x450-1.jpeg

  29. I like the narrow white walls better. Bruce. 002.JPG
