So, I will keep this short and sweet. Ever since I have been a little kid going to drag strips and car shows with my Dad just about every weekend in the summers I wanted to have a supercharger. I just always loved the sound it made and the way it looked. I never thought I would get one. I just happened to come across the perfect one that would be the right fit for my car so we are going to do it. I will post some pictures here soon, but it has all the right stuff like a very cool Cragar manifold, etc.

An added plus is that it should now give me a 50/50 chance of beating my brother...damn him and that little 301!

A future car will satisfy Ric and the Galactic Group of Gasser Rules with a 4-speed...

  4. Jeff, you just want a blower to block your view of Yesterdays Child, getting small in your windshield

  5. Jeff, one warning. If you get a 4 speed, make sure you don't "shiftercise" your right arm near Eric, or you'll both end up knocked out on the floor with black left eyes and/or sore nut bags!

New slicks test fitted.....Need some minor tweaking for clearance and proper ride height, but they look like they're gonna work really nice:) ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450303874.039014.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450303900.223116.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450303914.191201.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450303936.258881.jpg

They look a whole lot meaner than those dinky little 8" wide 26's that were on there, now if I can just find a set of super tall front coils to keep the ride height pretty close to where it currently sits (engineless and with stock coils),it will sit really nice, and should work pretty well.:)

Looks great Scott. The most amazing part of that picture is that I see green grass through the window...someone should name their next car "El Nino"

That sure is a good looking Ford you got there Scott, Cant wait to see it and you and your Dad again.

    Are they 10 x 26 ?

Jay has been running M&H 10 x 26 on the Falcon any he really likes them. Forgot to tell you guys, he is
assembling 420 c.i. s.b.f. on his engine stand now.

He has to get revenge for the Great Lakes Dragaway 1st 20 years event last year.

    Thanks Tony!:)

    Norb:

The new tires are 28"X11.5"-15's,the old ones were 26"x10.5"-15 ET Streets, but the actual width is 8".
They hooked pretty hard, but in guessing that Ford your Buddy is building should be nasty enough to tear them up pretty easy.It sounds like fun!:)

  19. He could just take the short cut, and install himself in the insane asylum now, instead of after he tunes that deal.

    Tony,
Those carbs and linkage are some serious eye candy parked on top of that blower, and I'm sure it took a degree in mechanical engineering just to fabricate the linkage for that setup!:)

I'm afraid Ric's probably right about it being a tuning nightmare, but it just looks sooooooooooooooooo COOL!!![emoji16]

Called him for the details and the first story was that it was a 260 (like it says on the fender)
with a little cam and 2 barrel carb.

He said Who Wants To Know, and after I told him you ( another ol Ford Fart the
    Powershifter ) he became cooperative.

He hurt the 302 last year so is assembling a machined and balanced s.b.f. short block kit from Competition
    Products in Oshkosh Wisconsin , part #SBK420fid = 420c.i inverted dome pistons ( 9.5 with 64cc heads).

Plans right now are to use the 200 cc World Products heads and the Howards 2200- 6500 hyd roller from the ol
302 but he has not yet bought a new pan and intake ( any recommendations ? )

His 56 CHEVY GASSER PROJECT IS FOR SALE
    Cell phone 920-242-0359

If it sells in time it will be AFR 235 cc heads and more cam and intake.

    Norb,
That looks like one heck of a combo.:)
If I was shopping for an oil pan and intake for that motor,I would probably either go Milodon or Canton on the pan (either are nice quality and won't break the bank).
For the intake,if he's going with those nice big AFR's eventually,I would get a 351w Super Victor. My buddy has one,I can see how much he needs for it if you want?
That motor sounds like it's gonna twist up that little Falcon real good!:)
I would definitely go with more cam for that motor, and more compression.10.5:1 is easy to get away with, especially with a big cam.
I would be looking for something in the 250ish duration @.050" range, and about .600-.650ish lift.
It may sound like a lot,but it's smallish relative to the size of that motor, and should work well in a light street car:)

Looking forward to seeing you and Jay at the Meltdown!:)

    Scott
