We make the vette bodies here and they run about 6,000 for the complete body shell ,the body I pictured is only for the mockup of my drag car, the final body will be in Big Flaked Silver Gelcoat which will then be painted with Hot hues raspberry candy, We have a Blown 427 with a tall hilbo my vette raspberry red.jpg rn and a glide for power. Here is a pic of a test panel that was painted over our silver gelcoat, The picture doesn't do it any justice ,you gotta see it in the sun.

  13. power glide.., my pants aren't so tight now..,
Man, if Ken Dondero could wheel Panella's blown small block Chevy Anglia, with a Muncie 4 speed waaay back in the day.., certainly, one of these blown gas dudes should be able to handle it with a Hitower/Jerico/Liberty. When someone finally does, he'll be the new boss in town with the blown gas set.

  14. PS. I know almost all the blown gassets back in the day had hydro's, and later Torque Flites/Turbo 400's, and a few of those, clutch****isted. When the stories start flowing about the old days (at least here on the west coast, Dondero, and Panella's Anglia always bubble to the top. This Vette, will be bad****, but man, just think if it had a manual trans.

We are running a Doug Nash, McLeod Two Stage Hydraulic and a vintage Hurst Straight Line Shifter in the Austin behind a blown 454. If that is not insane enough, the wheel base is 92"

Mopar aluminum bolt through case. Mark Williams 35 spline light weight spool. 1350 yoke. 4.56 hear more than I wanted but the price was right. Maybe I'll run more tire.

I'm looking for feedback on Go-Pro's... Thinking of getting one for 55'... Any opinions on mounts, or one better than other? I'd think some of the guys that been to Meltdown would of tried them out, thanks Jimbo

    Hey Buddy!Merry Christmas!:)

    I have the gopro Hero3(?)

I honestly never really got it figured out correctly, and it has kind of disappointed me,but maybe that's because I never took the time to learn how to use it.
There's an app that allows you to control it from your phone too, which would be awesome.

One thing I did find with mine was that if you put the completely enclosed waterproof case on it,it dampens the 100mph wind noise somewhat, and prevents that open header burnout volume from making the microphone go crazy.

I use the suction cup mount to stick it on the quarter panel, roof,or on a window.
That thing will NOT come off if applied properly.

Scott maybe you'd know, I thought Ford had a problem with there boss 302 blocks, if you wanted to run 347/363 stroker the sleeves were too short & too much piston skirt would hang out the bottom of bore? That it was better to run a 347 with the 4.125 bore with 3.25 crank... I see Ford offers a 363 now, wonder if problems been fixed? I've also seen couple boss blocks for sale on corral/Craig's but still wonder if there was problem with them? Jimbo...

    Jim:

Steer clear of the Boss 302 block for that exact reason. They (the engineers) thought they were being real sharp by reducing the length of the bottom end of the cylinders to prevent the need to notch them for rod bolt clearance in stroker applications.
They just took about 3/4" off the bottom of the cylinders and ended up making the block useless for anything but 2.87 or
    3.00 stroke applications.:(
If you can find a decent used Dart SHP or Iron Eagle block you would be better off,and to be honest,if I was doing it again,I would probably go with a 410" or 427" strokes Windsor.
Guys have used short blocks with not much time on them on the Yellow Bullet classifieds and on Craig's list all the time.

A lot of guys do a 347 with a big bore and the 3.25" stroke, but I would go for the biggest displacement you can reasonably get from a combination, cause extra cubes is just free power, right?:)

    With the 4.15" bore,my stock stroke (2.87") 289hp crank makes for a 311ci motor:)

If you did a 347,363,370 (8.2" deck "302 style" motors) or a 408/410/415/427 (351w based) you would really have that car stompin'!

I would lean toward the 347 type stuff so you can re-use your intake, distributor, oil pan, etc, which is exactly what I did.

Can't wait to hang out again at Meltdown 2016.:)
