...and you're probably looking at a Hemi that's rapidly making up a handicapped start. With the evidence provided by that picture, it's hard to guess who was late and who was on time at the green. If they're more than a couple hundred feet from the stripe, the Olds is in big trouble.

67 4Q2 I wish you didn't tell us that! We could have argued that the Killer 442 won that race. Keeping us Old(s) guys happy.

Looks like the Plymouth is an A/MP car.

The race almost didn't happen. Neither of us would stage. We both got thrown out and had to beg to race at the end of day.

In what year did that pairing occur? Was it a class-index dial-in situation? It appears that the Plymouth does, indeed, have A/MP on the window although the rest of the car looks like SS/B. If this pairing occurred during a NHRA eliminator pairing, were Stockers running against Modified Eliminator cars? We have often had "Combo" races where Stocks and Super Stocks race together but we've never had to race against Modified cars.

Spoke with my friend, "Yellow Fever" is not the same 59 Chevy that was seen on LI. That one was owned by George Vogelburger (sp) who also had a Jenkens built motor yellow 59 Chevy in the late 60's and that car is no longer. Learn about Fred Murphy's "Yellow Fever" on doverdragstrip.com put Fred Murpy in the search, the car is still around.

There's a NOS Spark-O-Matic, automatic transmission shifter on that auction site we all know and love. Looks like the same one in Tim Pogue's Junior Stocker, 57 Sedan Delivery. I have an old, J.C. Whitney Catalog, that has them also. Merry Christmas to ALL the followers of this thread. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

No, that's not the one, and it took me a bit to find it again. Item number 371515394750 and priced at $200.00!!!
I like your 56 150; my 56 150 Utility Sedan Bracket Car was white. Got a few pics of your car to post? I've had 10, 56 Chevrolet's, the current one is a Sedan Delivery (I've had 4 Deliveries now, including the 57 I sold to Tim). One of the 56's I owned twice, so I count it twice. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
