It is almost time for pre-registration. Pre-registration will open at 12:00 AM (CST) on January 2nd. This is a fun time for us as we start to get pictures of the amazing cars, trucks, bikes, dragsters, etc. that will be attending the event.

For those who have been procrastinating in attending, I would highly recommend that you make attending the 2016 Meltdown as your New Year's Resolution.

Here is some info on how to pre-register:

Send an e-mail to preregister@meltdowndrags.com with the following:

    - Name
    - Address (street, city, state, zip)
    - Phone Number
    - Year/Make/Model of the vehicle you are bringing
    - Picture of the vehicle you are bringing (with the correct wheels on it) - please make sure the picture is a side view so we can see the wheels.
    - Car group or organization you are a part of (if applicable)
    - Mode of transportation to the track (driving the car in, truck and open trailer, camper and open trailer, enclosed trailer, etc.)
    - Length of the rig you are bringing

Upon being approved for the event, you will receive an e-mail containing your registration number for the event.

Thank you for being one of the guys that get it!

20151228_210318.jpg Motor is out, and being built right now. Should have it done here before too long! Just trying to determine whether or not to try and see if I could rebuild my Muncie, or maybe just leave in the 3 speed for the time being.

You could work on the Muncie, but keep the 3 speed for a backup just in case it's not finished in time.
I learned the hard way....Always have a contingency plan, and don't bite off more than you can chew...Kept my car out of commission for Meltdown 2015:(

Keep workin' man! That car is going to be awesome!
I say paint it yourself in the driveway and ask the neighbors for forgiveness re:eek:verspray....lol!

Well to my luck, of which I probably have none left, upon further inspection, the Muncie had been rebuilt and never used since. It just needs a good cleaning, I'm just going to mount the hurst and it should be good.

We saw a 5 speed prototype on the floor of his shop too. Think it was the same dimensions as a Muncie.

Yeah the water here was way above the 93 flood but I'm good I did have some water in my shop at the house but it was because it rained so much so fast it ran under the doors but no worries the Willys is safe and sound though it has been chewing on a horse in the barn getting ready for the meltdown

    That's a crazy coincidence!My motor is exactly 311ci too![emoji6]

Mine doesn't have that big air-stuffer thingy on top though, just a couple of carburetors.

I think we'll still be able to give that ok truck of yours "the willys " though...[emoji16]

No,seriously. My Eagle 3.4" stroker crank turned out to be a real turd,so we're sticking with the 4.15" bore Dart block, but going with a race prepped 2.87" stroke 289 crank, which works out to.......311"!!![emoji16]

    I wasn't kidding,it really is a crazy coincidence!

Also,it's going to be just a little over 11.5:1 compression, which is probably right about what your 7.5:1 compression ratio squeezes up to when you dump 10psi of boost onto it...[emoji6]

Can't wait to hang out with you guys again.2016 is going to be a good year!:)
