Just talked to Alex Denysenko down in Michigan City Indiana.....Getting a pair of front springs that will get the nose up slightly so that my alignment guy can make this thing less twitchy on the top end.
Plus,it's gonna look pretty cool sitting a little higher,and I may even have room to reach under and adjust my clutch linkage.

For those who don't recognize Alex's name,Google "Moneymaker Racing" to see what 289 Fords are all about...he's got a lot more tire under it than I do,but the results will be similar

You got the cost right to repair the rear end after last year...but trust me, this blower motor will be built for about the same cost as the rear end...it helps to be buy used junk...

 

Don't sweat the used junk part Jeff....That's the whole point of hot rodding.
If we could afford shiny new shit,lots of us would be driving Lamborghinis.....lol

My boy is all growed up, ripping Jiffy Pop with the best of em! I'm so proud..,sniff.

 

Hell I just run a 4-71 on my chump motor and it put the shame to a 15,000 race prepped big block at Tulsa last year I think I have about 1800 in the long block even if I had bought a brand new blower I still have less than half of that in it

 

He was waiting for the light to turn dark green, just like Eric told him.

 

Now if we are to build are cars like they did back in the days how can we use new parts?

 

I try to only use new stuff that's expendable,like axles,rings,bearings,etc.
I did use brand new aftermarket rods though,as even the Ford 289 HiPo rods are marginal.
My intake,carbs,trans,etc are all about 25-30 yrs old
