Hey guys, over the past two months we've had a huge traffic spike. In fact, we broke an all time record on Friday for the amount of pageviews served in a day and we are currently on pace to break that record again today.

Why? Honestly, I have no idea... But it's causing issues with our servers. As a result, the site is running very slow.

Anyway, this is a PSA to let y'all know we are working on it pretty damned hard. I hope to have new hardware in place by the end of the week to handle all of this load.

    Please be patient with us!

    Thanks!

I'm in the IT field and know all about these kind of problems. Thanks for all of the work you do to keep this going. I know it's not easy.

Can't you just swap some pulleys or put in a bigger cam?

  19. when i read the title i expected more like this;
"we as hambers should be proud of the work we have done in the last three years.......but there is still more to do. each one of us must sacrifice....[dramatic pause]....just a little more...... we have stayed true to out root mission, to keep the hot rodding tradition strong in this world wide web."
    pause to scan the crowd
"these times call for more original parts, better aftermarket parts and the commitment to bring them together. so if we work together.........dig through our basements.........up in those rafters....... we can make a difference. "
"look......no one can do this alone.........with your help we have made changes to the hamb......and was criticized for the changes........some of us weren't happy..........but it has led to some good things.......and most have learned to like it but we are not done."
    pause, crowd quiet.
"so i promise in the up coming years..........NO membership price increase" quiet clapping "MORE new hamb products" clapping builds and some cheering "and FASTER browsing" crowd goes wild!
    arms raised to the crowd
    "thanks.......and rod blessed"

  24. Ryan is too kind hearted and lets all the guys on here just to sell their cars and other products, but NEVER contribute to the main board on solving a HAMBs problems with his build, current hot rod or custom..my 2cents

  25. I PM'd a mod the other day chatting about a related issue. I noticed quite a number of people signed up, some of them YEARS ago and never post or contribute. I don't know if this adds to the "space" problem or not, I don't know the inner workings of a computer.Wasn't complaining, just curious. I wouldn't object to deleting some old threads if it would help. I'm sure I've started a few that aren't relevant anymore. Tim

I'll tell you to look directly into the mirror. :D In order to properly support both Ryan and the Hamb you need to sign up and pay for an Alliance membership.

Good news. We were able to secure some necessary hardware and plan to do an upgrade late tonight. If all goes well, we should be running a little better by tomorrow.

  30. Sounds like the HAMB server engine is getting bored and stroked!
