Sometimes when the response is so obvious - ya just gotta take the shot.
Just heard the Cdn dollar is supposed to sink to .65 US. That seriously sucks !!! How the hell am I supposed to mess with the combination and drive myself nuts sorting it out in time for Meltdown, if I can't afford car parts ??

  8. Dang Jeff, that was a nice stripe of smack back you laid down. You know, I've been thinking, since your new to the whole blower thing, and you wanna make a good showing at the Meltdown, maybe you could get Racer X to give you some tuning advice/tips. He really does have a good handle on it, and it might save you some new combo headaches.

Hey now, while you guys were in the pits bench racing and wondering why the Headsup wasn't better advertised here on the HAMB and other areas (as we all were) Steve turned 3 runs in the 12's. As I remember right I didn't see the Okie Doker that day. Something about it couldn't take anymore beatings for the 2015 year. Oh and by the way as to date I haven't seen anything about the 2016 Headsup, love the advertising dept.

If my work schedule allows,I'm going to try to make the Heads Up too....There's not much in the way of Vintage style racing up here;mostly 60's muscle cars with tons of modern bracket electronics,or cars that are billed as "Nostalgia" because of a topolino body on a completely modern chassis.

Time Is going to be tight though.

The only thing I'm not sure about is getting additional time off work.

I'm supposed to be running a project worth about $16 mil,and I already told them that the month of July is basically a write-off for me...lol

The car is definitely going to be ready

  24. Tony, Scotts building a small block Windsor, with plenty of "shelf" parts, so its a bit more affordable. When you want to go to Jurassic Park, and feed the Dinosaurs' Filet Mignon, Lobster & Don Perion', it gets a bit pricey. ;)

  26. .., by the way Tony, I'm proud of you for not buying junk, and you've got the Childs nerves rattled!

Man! Don't tell him that! Never let them see you or your car sweat! I was gonna say something witty about how old and crusty our car is, but then I remembered Dick 'n Quirky was already 17 when the Child was first assembled!

  30. Well Marc, its like this. Tony is the nicest guy, and I'm a bit convicted about always giving him zingers about being Captain Ahab, and rustling whales, so I thought it was about time to pat him on the back, and give him an "ataboy". After all, he did build a car and go racing a whole year, running respectable #'s while the ole Child was hibernating & and collecting June bug carcasses.
