    The engine used in the Stutz Blackhawk. Frank Lockhart was killed during his attempt at the Land Speed Record in 1928

    … while although predating The Flintstone's T.V. show, here we see an attempt at continuing Fred's basic approach to mobility but here it is being used as the sole method to stop the car. Apparently by using this time honored method of having both a driver and mechanic on board, as was the custom from early racing days gone by, the mechanic's role has been changed solely to braking all the while either the right or left shoe can be employed as a drag type stabilizer during right or left hand corning if need be.

    I don't think that is Santa Ana KB. Looks like might be Moffett Field in the Bay Area.

    I think this was a twilite zone show where the guy brings in a mint '29 model a for 25 bucks and the car is haunted, it makes the used car salesman tell the truth about every car on his lot ! lol
