I don't know about the tandem seating in those cars. Hard to get a furtive feel of your passenger on the straight stretches---

    Hello Rolf,
Excellent web-site with great compilation of B-W cycle-car photos!

The most are of crazy Bedellia with useful sketches of suspension, steering and transmission! It was strange species between all the unorthodox cycle-cars! Between else: central-pivot suspension and steering... Long belts are often used but strange how often belts are un-tight, with rear axle moving for-and-after for tightening them!

Accepting all of oddities, I couldn't understand why driver is at rear and passenger at front, and why Bedellia is so long? There would be enough space for both of persons even chassis was 0.5 of meter shorter? Ambulance variants were really crazy – just imagine poor wounded soldier laying there over bumpy road! One version with top up and passenger is mad: what is possibility of driver to see anything in front of car?

    Ciao,
    Zoran

The guy riding behind the ''driver'' of a motorcycle comes out of a head on collision in much better shape. Use your passenger as a human air bag-------

    Bob,
Great photo of unusual racing Amilcar (or any racing car)! Almost classic airplane fuslage?
Using Google, I found two more after you posted this one!

Here are a couple of pictures from J-J C. They show a Morgan and a GN in a 1920 race around the city of Paris. "Course de La Grande" 12508820_10208336983772804_5267150359331789348_n.jpg 12573901_10208336983852806_2724966169927431757_n.jpg

    Bob,
Great photo of Zissou Jacques-Henri Lartigue!
Bibi had strange goggles - probably celluloid? But, Mamy looks terrible (even on new attached photo) – to frighten flicks (policemen)!
Attached are a few of his photos with unorthodox paintings of automobiles!

    Ciao,
