  4. Scanned some pictures of a 38 coupe I was trying to buy about 30 years ago. It was sitting in a fellow's yard just west of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan near Bay Mills/Brimley area. He worked on the lake freighter's so was away when the first two 1938 willys bay mills.jpg times I visited. The last time I went it was gone; story was that someone in downstate Michigan had bought it. Any one from lower Michigan remember a friend bringing this one home? Note the removal of rear fenders, and cut up fronts for bush running.

    And I'll even bet that would work better than those "little blue pills" do.
    Not that I have any experience with them..............yet.

  6. Don't know anything about those "little blue pills" but from what I've heard about 'em, that '41 Willys has a similar effect!:D

    Stewed66 found this picture at our Snow Busters Swap Meet recently. It was maybe only a 3"x2" photo. Good eye! DSCN2731.JPG

    Found these in a great video of car haulers and how race cars were moved in the 60's. Great video with a LOT of super stars of the 60's too many too new for HAMB, the grump, sox and martin, ford drag team etc

    I sent a copy of the "Baby Cakes" Willys to my friend who owned it at the time he sent me this back;
    "Yeah,that's it! I already have that picture,and
    I'm not sure who took it (?).
    Taken in 1964 at Charlestown,R.I. Naval Air
    Base, used also,for drag racing.
    I can't remember if it was Mass.or R.I. got a
    traffic ticket for not having license plates on
    the Willys; we were 'flat' towing it with a tow
    bar,couldn't afford a trailer,and there state law
    was,it had to be registered, I guess?
    Nothing better than 'to bust our chops', and a
    'money' maker ($25 fine) for them!..Oh well !"

    As well as this picture of the car at Cecil County in 64. The car is still around albeit as a street rod. The Willys PU is Eddie Sanzo of the Sanzo, Pellicane and Sedlicki, one of the many gassers that ran out of Jack Merkels Shop.
