  1. Cool.

  2. got to see this awesome hot rod in person last week. went with cad- lasalle and two other buddies. we pushed out of the garage, and hotrod keating fired it up and let her run. probably a once in a lifetime adventure. got to thank hotrod keating for giving us the up close and personal tour of it.

  3. "Rust Runner"--it was my pleasure!! Your all welcome back anytime, well maybe not Randy-but thats another story!!

After reading thru this thread again, anyone with any history (other than what has been posted all ready)on the Little Monster, I'd be interested in!
I'd like to find any pictures of it at race tracks where Johnny raced it. Trophies would be cool (we can dream), plus an original "Rod Snapper" plaque, and jacket to finish it off. Been trying to locate a copy of the Steve Allen show with out any luck. The episode should be-season 4,#33, airdate-May 17, 1959..
    Thanks, BPK!!
PS: Electric fan won't happen!! Car will always be Johnny Breens!!

Like I told Jim, the closest you'll probably come to getting an original plaque would be to order one from Dennis O'Brien. He has the original pattern and the only thing it won't have is the foundry mark on the back.

  5. nice to get history with the car

This morning I reached into my collection of little car magazines and pulled out Custom Rodder, November 1961.

Settling into the throne, I started reading about a Long Island car club called the Freeport Rod Snappers. Cool club, cool cars. One little hot rod with a '35 Ford truck grille shell caught my eye. Being from the White Plains NY area originally, I wondered if I had seen that one at the County Center Rod & Custom show when I was a kid.

Out of curiosity, I check in at the HAMB, did a search and discovered this great thread. Here is the article:

  14. Hey Jim,
The "Little Monster' was a smashing success! It also was in good company!! It was great to get it out there on the field under its own power! Turned a lot of heads!! Friends were upset, as it was sucking the attention from thier cars--yuk-yuk!
I can't fiqure out the trick for listing pictures, as everytime I tried to list them, they came back invalid! So heres the links--enjoy--Thanks, BPK!!

I just found this site, absolutely great that someone got this car. I drove past it for years on business and wanted to buy it so bad! That sign kept me away however. I thought I would post the pictures I took when I first saw it way back when....Pretty nice Riviera and Baja he had also.

When I was a very young boy, this idiot and his father, parked this car and a piece of shit trailer in my mother's front yard. They pulled this car into her garage and padlocked it and their trailer shut. I once snuck in and got my head stuck in the chopped window. Everyone that I am related to is a moron, and I would love to make an offer on this car. Can anyone out there help me find it?

I remember the idiot used to swap stuff between this car and a P.O.S. Ford Ranchero, but I don't understand the wheels and tires. The cheaters that I remember were twice as wide and half as tall. The radiator almost hit the floor.
