So I know rotten LEONARD here on the HAMB makes bomber seats but I recall a few others also offering them. I can't seem to weed them out.

    Thanks

    Pete-

I have used both bomber buckets and a bomber bench made by Frank Wallic in Denver F1932hog@aol.com They are not cheap but are very high quality.

I can also manufacture bomber seats. I use patterns from an original WW2 P-51 Mustang seat , PM or email david@vcsaviation.com for details

Here is a stock P-51 seat for perspective, it was known a "Schick Johnson" I acquired a sample and took it apart for patterns. For car use the back is bit high so I created a rounded version ( I can build the high back upon request) [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [

    Those are very nice seats!!

The seats are actually for my father in laws lotus super 7.

It's a very tight cockpit with the original seats being only cushions sitting directly on the floor. He wants a custom seat made, I thought the cushions looked the best but it his car....

Hi, thank you all for the compliments. I have been an FAA A&P mechanic for 20 years and love warbirds as much as hot rods. I custom build each seat and make any size, dimension you may require. I have day job as an inspector and build the seats on nights and weekends.

I do believe Cornfield Customs here on the HAMB also builds bomber seats. Joe

Just unboxed my newest Frank Wallic Bomber Bench for my 32 PU. Work of art, perfect rivet spacing, excellent detail and flawless finish. My upholsterer said never worked on a seat that nice before.

Pete with all them metal skills you have I am surprised you don't make a set. I just made set and added some patina.

  17. I made a set of simple seats with single sheets of 18ga. I have a couple sizes of dimple punches. If you decide to make your own and want to punch them, come on over!
