Starting. New thread to pay homage to all the old cool racing jackets!! Here's an example, can anybody tell me about this jacket?

cool idea when I was a kid my father had an Isky PolyDyne jacket with patches on the front and back, said it was from a fraternity bother of his...he used it as a garage jacket, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world then, mid to late 70's even thought it was well used up .. hoping to see come cool jackets.

This is yours truly wearing my Chevy windbreaker with my Suzuki 120 when I was stationed at Fort Benning, GA in 1971....

Car club jacket?

 

Seen at Donut Derelicts car show in Huntington Beach, Ca.

 

I guess you could call it that. Formed in 1938, the Road Runners are all about land speed racing at El mirage and Bonneville. That jacket has been worn at both places.

Doug had this jacket made for Norm in the mid 60s... It's NOS and hasn't been worn

Last one, not really a jacket it's a "bowling shirt" but I think it's just to damn cool. Belonged to the man himself. I only wish it was bigger or I wasn't to fat to wear it.
