It's London alright - Oxford St looking up from Piccadilly Circus but some of the cars look early to mid-50's to me (Isn't that a light brown Ford Prefect behind the traffic lights?) . I'm sure other experts can clarify. Nice pic though - thanks for sharing.

  2. Great photo! Times Square looked way better back then.

Circa May 1948 - release date of Berlin Express (also note the newer DeSoto taxis).

On the way back down Mt Washington, I stopped at a gravel storage pulloff on the left, walked in to the woods about 25 feet and there was a 1935 Pierce Arrow laying on it's side

It is called Hurricane Mesa now. Still active for testing, mostly ejection seats.

It was used in a James Bond flick as well.

Looks like a "Hookers" car with the bed already made up.

Just waiting for the first "Fish" to come along.

  21. Gardiner's Cafe at Crown Point was a restaurant concession built in the early 1920's. It was a very popular place with hungry tourists who were there to visit the Vista House during your drive along the Columbia Gorge Highway.

Yeah, well it looks like they're using the right kind of bait to catch that fish.

The poor dog looks embarrassed to be seen in the car - I'm not sure I'd blame him. He's probably just spotted a gorgeous hound in a nice shiny Cadillac and realises he's only got cheap humans looking after him. Ah well, such is life.
