Lol it is and it's finally getting some attention since I have spent the last couple years building a 34 ford tudor. Thanks it's always nice to here that some incouragement! It's first journey will be in the next couple months and I am going to drive it to the salt flats well the lake lol. I feel like that's where we need to go with it for its first big outing! The holy ground! It needs to warm up first tho.

In the pictures it looks like both sides of the top don't match. I really like the look of the passenger side. The top and windshield are the perfect amount of evil.

Me too its actually just wired down in that pic it's before I spent a million hours hand sewing it back together. I am stoked to finish the floor and get it on for good!

  11. I'm flattered to be included. I was planning to post on this thread when I was further along and had some sheet metal up front. But if anyone is interested, I've got a shortened T touring body on a shortened A frame with a spring-in-front banjo rear sitting on big snow tires. It will get a wedge type land speed style nose soon; that's what the tape and foamcore are doing on that old track car radiator.
The build gets going in earnest HERE, in case you don't want to read through what's essentially a blog about a beginner's journey and flip-flopping on direction: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...build-preliminary.751582/page-7#post-10993883

Here's the back half for those interested. It's not made of tape!

Thanks for chiming in Pat...I poke my nose around and many times the material for thread themes is right on the site proper. I consider this promoting what the HAMB is about. I'm hoping this brings awareness to your build and the many others going on here. Keep up the good old work period ;)

I felt this that was potentially pushing the limits of the period. Perhaps 72/82 mistaken for 62? It is difficult to make newer old but I am unsure...only Hank knows definitivly. Grille is different also as an observation. I asked for older. I tried to find period pics of this car. Perhaps somebody can help pull the history up on this one. I thought this was close however chop is more...would like to see it his ride in true vintage 48 to 65 it would be cool...

Remember all...1965 and older...or 1965 and older inspired...just saying. If its not it may be removed. Thanks for everyones help and contribution to this thread. There truly were many other rods in the mix in all states of finish. All have a place in the evolution.

That black coupe is the balls! Sinister looking rig.

Here's a "concept car" made out of scraps I stuck together screwing around last summer. People saw it and said "Build it!" (Think TROG - Mobile)
You never know what you'll get for feedback, that's for sure.

    Great thread!!! Thanks Ray.

Thanks for posting those pics...there is one more from your album to throw in to your post...the 3/4 view from the back. Pic 1111101605a...It rounds out that series of pics on that unique vehicle.

    Most definately not homogenized.
    Seth Hammonds' iconic dirt tracker.
There have been a number of T roadsters over the years that epitomize the term
"Hot rod", but the Hammond car always impressed me by it's simplicity.
This car had to have been an absolute blast to peel around a dirt track with.

DSCN2206.JPG Another '30 coupe ( my favorite) chopped 3", channeled 4", and full fendered ( lots of cutting!)

This is where the parts from the earlier post " TROG concept car" ended up.

"FRANKEN-COUPE"- currently being finished by Joe Bonnano, new owner, Y block mill

Hey 50 I am going to look for that connection...the other jalopy was made in a shop where a quite inventive individual created stuff including military vehicles. You found some more pics of the one you posted was there a story there? If so post a link. Its always better with the details. Thanks,
