Lol I hate selfies but felt it was the only way to get the full effect. Next time I will give a smile.
That's what we call to lazy to tighten lol

  2. We had talked about hard to find 1" ultra short bets for your Manual Fan project. I shop at a local Lawn mower and Garden equipment shop. My old Troy built tiller has a 1" belt that's only 15" around the outside. That is dang short.
Keep up the good work. The Wizzard

Thanks! I didn't even think of that good call! I got my double groove pulley but when it showed up it had a skinny belt groove on the inside pulley. So I am going to have to put it on a lathe to make it the right size. I couldn't tell from the picture.

20160217_001637.jpg Scored some sweet Edmunds heads for the roadster today! Couple pits to fix due to some erosion but they are in way better shape then my Evans I have been tigging up. Just set them on on of the Flattys in the garage I won't even have to change studs! Anyone know what it will bump my compression to? Not much info on them.

20160217_001521.jpg 20160217_001912.jpg Due to the fact I am on a tight budget with everything I am gauging on which set will get fixed and stay and which ones to sale. I tend to buy the ones no one wants and spend some time fixing them then buying better ones. Pretty sure that's how most of us do it on here. I've watched my dad do it my whole life!

  6. Put a Spark Plug in a hole and turn the head upside down and C.C. that chamber. Now repeat on a Stock head off the motor. Then go to your local Machine Shop for the formula. That's the only way I know of for sure. You have to know the Chamber size. Lucky for me I have a West Coast Ledgand close by for all that stuff.

Late to your post; just read the whole thing. Love the roadster - Let me join the group that says: make it safe then drive the wheels off. I love the windshield lean, the top, the wheel base & even the "snaggle tooth" grille. Looks like that what you doing. Once your on the road; you will be having to much fun to bother with paint.

20160217_201016.jpg So for my business degree I have to take an art class. They had a metal shaping class that is 4 hrs a week. Since I already weld I burned through the course already and now just need to do a final project. So I decided to build some drive shaft headers it will be done all old school with a torch last week started my flanges. And I have a 36 zephyr drive line for the headers! Don't mind the ruff cut out holes they will get doled in

I like it! Can you slightly alter the front of the top so the windshield sits more vertical? If the sun shins on it at that angle you are gonna be blind.

I love the look. It is almost inspiring me. I think it was the Pearson coupe that they laid the windshield back until they couldn't see through it and then lifted it just enough to see through.

  18. Still no smile lol. Just red through this thread and want to tell you birddog you got yourself a badass car. The jawbreaker color is the shit. I want to see some pictures of you getting in it with the top on. If she was mine I wouldent make her shine. Jawbreaker por vida. I also would walk past all other cars to look at her. Just like your friends 33-34. I think he is part of the Pasadena roadster club. The greenish red with badass chop. That is to me the "Americas most beutiful roadster" great find and can't wait to see some burn out pictures.

Ok. I used to run around in my M37 with the window partially open at an angle. The sun shines on it and it can be super hard to see. I hope yours is different. Looks bad ass.

  25. Ah Yes birdog! As of this morning's Dr. apt I was released from House arrest couch confinement. I can now go out and walk around. No bending over at the waist or lifting more than 5 lbs for another 3 weeks. Dr liked what He saw. I didn't tell him what I had already been doing though it has been minimal at best. Laying around reading Car Mag's and hanging out here I think I've built about 12 more cars. All in my Head of course. The good news here is I feel about a Truck Load better.
With all this Couch time and 6 unfinished personal projects I now think I have a sequence of importance that might actually lead to some of them getting Done. My Roadster project is #2 on my list as of right now. We'll see how this plays out. Summer is close and so is the Roadster.

  28. Geezzz, You won't believe this. My #1 project is my 53 F-100. I've had it for ever. How strange is this?
