If he doesn't find one I think I can round one up for the cost of shipping. Automatic car right?

Well.... we didn't need another project, but the price was too good to pass up. It is a pretty solid car with good quarters and floors! This is my personal dream car, and we will get on it when the Tornado is done. Super Stoked! 2016-02-21 20.26.27.jpg 2016-02-21 20.25.51.jpg 2016-02-21 20.26.27.jpg 2016-02-21 20.25.51.jpg 2016-02-21 20.26.56.jpg 2016-02-21 20.27.28.jpg

The 57 will be the next "real" build. But we picked it up in Louisiana.

Tomorrow is chassis set up day. The guys are coming over bright and early and the plan is to get a roller by the end of the day (or before my wife gets home with the kids from a birthday party and a trip to Build a Bear).

If you guys are in the central Arkansas area and want to come help, the more the merrier!

    Plans are-
    1. Pressure wash and clean the rest of the suspension parts we haven't cleaned yet.
    2. Set Pinion angle and weld leaf spring brackets on to 3:73 s-10 rear end that we had laying around
    3. Replace leaf spring shackle bushings with poly bushings.
    4. Install the rebuilt front end parts we picked up a couple weeks ago.
    5. Mount sway bar for road coarse use
    6. Replace brake pads and wheel cylinders on front drums.
    7. Run brake lines.
    8. Once it is a roller.... use existing overdrive powerglide transmission's drive shaft to determine set back engine location. Set pinon angle, and burn in motor mounts and donated nova trans cross member.

    Wish us luck

Cool thread. This should be fun to watch. Sounds like you already have your motor. I got good motor from a Pick N Pull for $70 on a half off day. Could also be a good source for a rear end.

Well The day started off good, we got my new 57 off the trailer and the tornado frame inside. Since the s,10 rear would require a new driveshaft we went with the 55 rear end instead. We can always do better later. The front end was going good but we rented an internal spring compressor and not an external one. Soooi....

bBut..... on the way to the second parts store...... a guy who was hauled for DUI, pulled out in front of us.... I was ejected from the drivers seat and my buddies found me unconscious. Another of my buddies had short term memory loss, an the other sprained his wrist. We are all home now, I am pretty dizzy and nauseas, in rough shape. Jesus and prayer has brought us this far, andI ask that you would continue praying for us! Thank you Jesus! 2016-03-02 16.56.06.jpg 2016-03-02 17.00.00.jpg 2016-03-02 17.01.23.jpg 2016-03-02 17.01.55.jpg
