Hey Blue One, your car is the furthest thing from a traditional hot rod that I've seen on this site in a while. Why do you feel the need to make stupid comments on other peoples cars when yours is like a monkey fucking a football? Thanks, Joe

    DUSTAN !!!!! GOSH DAMMIT !!!!!
THE TAPE GOES FROM THE COWL TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF THE GRILLE SHELL,

YOUR GONNA FU-K UP AGAIN, IF YOU DO IT THE WAY IT SHOWS, NOW GET IT CORRECT THIS TIME. and raise the body of that T about 3 inches between frame and body..

And drop the mount for the wishbone down Under the frame, so it is somewhat parallel with ground, like the other kids cars.>>>>
damn, buy ya books send ya to school, and ya still learnin'

I like them in the frame better. They looked stupid under. And that picture the shell was just sitting there on top of the radiator so the tape was there to hold the radiator strait.

Lol what is it a t made into a home made roadster truck? Also not trying to be a total dick but it looks like it's really stretched but I don't see how because the bed is way too short looking and the stake pocket should be at the beginning of the bed not 3" down. But maybe it's just pictures that make it look that way.

Carry on Dustan, you do have some build skills and with any luck you will look at the criticism as constructive and actually learn something.
The new build looks promising if you get it right.
As for my RPU, it is a one off hot rod that many have said they love. " I nailed it " in their words. And these are some serious builders whom I respect.
And I will stand by their words more so than what has been posted here.
In all this, as Verde 742 has said, we have only been trying to help you.
Over and out, I will watch and see what goes from here.

Man, sometimes you check a thread out early on and think:rolleyes:, but you just never know where a thread is gonna go! Hell, if it keeps up like this, I might even subscribe... This is sorta like how I would imagine "the Kardashian sisters build a hot rod" might go!:p

It's getting ridiculous I understand making a suggestion but after someone didn't do it then drop it. Not everyone has to like it but if you don't like it keep your fucking mouth shut and spend 10 years building your own shit. If everyone liked the same things we would all be driving the exact same stuff and how fun would that be.

    Gidday Dustan,

I really love your T tudor and reckon you should be proud. I do agree about the grille shell being too high though but believe it's up to you how you want it. I did a quick photoshop to show how it could look with it lowered. I also raised the screen height a bit which would give you more visibility…

    DustanTudor_RadLow.jpg

I'm not saying you should change it but just showing how it might've looked if those things were done.

As I said, I reckon it looks cool and I'm jealous of you. I don't have a hot rod and have never built one, but it's build threads like yours that inspire me to want to do something in the future.

    Cheers,

    Glen.

Thanks a lot and that's sweet photochop wish I could do that. Looks much better but at this point the radiator is where it's going to be. Originally I was going to take 3" out of the header and only 2" out of the shield. It does look much better that way,I should have done that. But I do plan to chop up a model A visor and put that on so you won't see the header anyways. Thanks for the kind words ;)

image.jpeg image.jpeg Cut up a model A visor and put it on. I like how it hides most of that header.

  17. It is never to late to cut it up and do it over the right way. That photoshop makes it look 100 times better.

That's true, I do think that you have the skills to change it up.
Just takes the desire to make it better.

I want to see one of you know it alls come over and do something with that radiator that doesn't fuck up a already painted chassis... Sure I could make brackets to drop it in front of the crossmember but then it sits way too far away from the engine and looks just as ridiculous. And where does that put my bottom radiator hose? Between the spring and axel that's where.

    Dustan,,
( I guess you would call me a know it all,) As far as costs for a different radiator, you can use your talent to produce $$$$$$.
Have you ever noticed the radiator on Grabowski's Model T. "the Kookie Car?"
It is half the height of yours,
but, you have takin' yer stand, and now feel the need to defend it, I have a very stubborn daughter exactly like that, doesn't mean I don't love her. It's just her way. and that's OK.

Car already has cooling issues idk if a smaller radiator would be the answer. If I could buy one and it was guaranteed to cool enough then I would buy it in a heartbeat. I actually drive my cars though and don't need to be on the side of he road boiling over

I had a mint 27 sedan body and all the major parts gathered but family and other responsibilities led me to selling it. I have regretted it ever since, please keep posting your pics cause you look like you are doing a great job.

The darker green block should look good against the frame.

I am still reading and watchin' & commenting till you tell me to go home.
you say it has cooling problems, what size thermostat are you using? How many rows of tubes in the radiator, You said you bot radiator at a swap meet cheep, I bet last guy had problems also. Where did you get water pump? You might consider a marine small block water pump? Maybe water is going thru engine too fast and doesn't let it stay in Radiator long enuff to cool? Do you have a temp gauge, you worry over? Or does it puke.. If it sits there and idle, does it boil? Have you tried any cooling additives, like they use at NASCAR.?
Do both heads get hot? Or just one? Use a heat sensor gun and find hot spot (s). Check compression with all spark plugs out, big differences?
    Trying to help,
    Bob

Thanks,I don't remember what t stat is in it right now but I have tried like 3. Radiator was brand new but I bought it at the swapmeet from a vendor, waterpump is just a short pump from the parts store,i do have a gauge,I have used a temp gun because I thought the gauge was lying. It wasn't lying. Compression was great. What would be the benefits of a marine pump? Never knew there was a different one. I havent really tried additives but I messed with timing and a bunch of other things like built a shroud and I have it where I can drive it and not worry too much unless it's a really hot day and I get stuck for a while. But yes it will puke.

tomorrow pick up 210 degree at work, and put it in and, put some tape over temp gauge, and drive.

And don't be to quick to get a 3 tube radiator, if the tubes are not staggered it can cause heating problems..

    p.s. the Bymans are watching.
