  5. But he keeps sneaking in non-HAMB friendly ones. I've nothing against them, I own 3 Vettes, two are non-HAMB friendly but this is not the place for them.

That may be but I am picking and choosing the ones that are appropriate and am glad to see pics of old Vettes at their best. I see other threads where the keyboard cops are a tad heavy handed and I am not going to join that group until matters get way out of bounds I suppose.

I think we all try to post HAMB appropriate Vettes but occasionally a modern pic of an old Vette does sneak through. Loudbang is searching for good photos and is making an effort to keep this thread alive and that is not all bad for sure. We have posters on this thread with Vettes as they are today or as they appear on a drag strip today and we all are aware of guidelines of the HAMB but all in all I believe we stay on topic 99% of the time. Point made and hopefully that will continue as we do not want this thread to go south.

Well I thought about not responding to this comment but from my recollection of the HAMB idea:
If a body style carried over from before 1964 then the car was OK. The basic Vette Stingray design started in 1963.
Other examples may be 1963 Ford F100's
1965 Comets and Falcon's (with reservations of front fender design)
I'm a Ford/Merc guy but I'm thinking Dodge had some carry over from 1963 to 1965 as well
FYI I've got a 1966 Volvo P1800 that was designed in 1958 and first built in 1964? that I'm putting a 428 Ford FE in
    but not really HAMB worthy.
    So I'm thinking that 1963 -1967 Vette's are OK.
    Just my opinion

    Now Movin/on ----

Some for the Vette crowd today. :p

If this one has been posted let me know I think I have seen it before but can't remember which thread.

Inspired by GM’s Mako Shark concept car, Bob Nordskog commissioned George Barris to radically transform one of the first Sting Rays delivered into this show-’n’-go custom. Barris Kustom City stretched the nose 8 inches, punched headers through reworked fenders, flared the quarters to clear M&H dragster slicks, scooped the hood, relocated the taillights into vertical rear bumpers, and replaced the split window with solid glass (d’oh!) before covering the glasswork in heavily metalflaked golden-bronze.

A 352ci, Weber-carbed stroker motor produced smoky 12.20s at 118-plus this Sunday at San Fernando—after which Bob corked ’er up, reinstalled his street wheels and rubber, and drove ’er home across the Valley. At SoCal car shows, a rotating turntable displayed both street and Modified Sports trim, simultaneously.

John Mazmanian began making big noises after upgrading his candy-apple-red Corvette’s induction from GM’s Rochester fuel injection to serious GMC and Hilborn hardware. With nephew Rich Siroonian in the seat, they briefly dominated SoCal’s bustling AA/Modified Sport scene before Big John built his famous Willys. (When the gasser’s initial outing disappointed, he sold the mouse motor to Bob Panella and led the A/GS class’s shift to Hemi power.)

  30. I wasn't talking about the C2's he posted in general but the C3's plus some other other threads where he posted non-HAMB friendly cars. "Tony Feil's new version" which while a C1 is not HAMB friendly nor are the other tubbed modern wheeled C1-C2 recent pictures.
