Have a nice road trip Jim. I'm only 1 mile off I 81 if you need anything. You have a perfect truck for road trips. Maybe you can hop off 81 and take old route 11 on your return trip. You wont lose much time but there's a lot to see. Not so much on 81. Hope you win the Robot fight. Post photos, as I never seen that before. But sounds like a lot of FUN! Thanks Ron...

I'm enjoying your trip too. Iv' e been in all those southern states but never ran across the southern edge. Looks like you're making good time.

 

Finally made it out of Texas. Rain let up. Time to make some miles....

 

Nice ride... perfect you can go 75 in that thing.
Stay away from US129 Tail of the dragon unless you want to do 300 turns in 11 miles! I found myself on that road when i went from California to South Carolina. Not cool in my shortbed gmc pulling a uhaul. Fun road though.
So climb! Keep goin up!
Road is just south of Knoxville so you wont be close to it off of I40 unless you want to be.

This is awesome. My son is in STEM and they are doing robotics right now. I bet he would love to go to NYC for a robotics compe***ion. Good luck and keep us posted.
