zip, zip, zip. In the future I will just cut the roof straight off no zig zag cuts as I still had to make a large vertical cut to line everything up properly.
There are a thousand ways to do things . I am always open to trying something new to see the benefits. I see no benefit to zig zagging the cuts. Live , learn and evolve.
Looking good, Safe-T-Ray! Driving weather has arrived- had the coupe out blasting up and down 95 this afternoon.
What is your method for cleaning up the welds? eg.--grinder, then rolocs of different grit? You gonna blend the paint back in?? Extra credit for that. Looks awesome, my man!- need a full side view to show off the total coolness. Roll her out and start clicking!
Really just starting to learn to finish out the welds. I've always mig welded everything then hammer and grind . This is all tig welds hammered almost flat while hot then filed or 36 grit roloc, hammer and dolly , stink wheel if needed then d/a with 80 grit. I'm no expert trust me . I think I'm gonna pull the body and do a total repaint. Always appreciate your kind words Mike.
Where are those side views, you big tease?? HaHa ( see you at Fitchburg with the rest of the Torr-nados)
Hope to fit the header this week and get a windshield frame at Fitchburg so I don't have to break the glass in the one I have.
What cuts? HaHa. Looks freakin excellent^^^^^^ That shot is good enough to get me revved up!! See you SUN-day; Nils and I are in spots #149-150--lotta stuff! looks like the weather Gods may be kind 2 years in a row!! I'm psyched!
That is too KOOL! You gotta keep all that original black paint and color blend the rest ( or clear coat all that nice body work for all the world to see!). According to a poll I took ( with myself) Shiney paint would lessen that back alley, snarley- gnarley, "You talkin' ta me??" look. That C-dan has an attitude and a half! I'm in love! Excellent work, me lad.
That thing looks awesome! the chop is spot on and I love the fenders on it. just looks killer. Cant believe I never saw this thread before.
