I wouldnt mind finding a Pontiac Acadian, which is the Canadian version of the Nova. Outside of an early Tempest anyway.

Thanks Tony,but I can't take credit for that!lol!.The initial cnc work was the product of Ric's buddy Bryce,but they've since received a bit more lovin' in the form of smoothing the chambers out with a cartridge roll,and some other top secret stuff that I'm not at liberty to talk about....[emoji6] lol

First fire for Arnie- Alton IL, with the '64 GTO "Mystery Tornado". First time with the car into the 8's and then into the hospital.

 

Scott I am still looking at a lot of parts. Lets see if you can get them together by July!

 

Don't worry Bob,The pistons will be in the motor by Wednesday,along with the freshly honed rods,the heads are about 75% complete,with just a bit of repair work where we broke through into a pushrods tube.(DOH!)

Block is finish honed and already contains the balanced crank,cam is in,timing set is on,and cam is degreed.

Those headers will be about the last thing to go on the car,but some of the more observant folks on here may have noticed the 9" center section in the box in the background.It is installed,along with a brand new 35 spline spool and matching axles

I do have to rig up some kind of better mounting solution and linkage for the shifter though...It's just a bit too much of a stretch to hit the "forward" throws...

 

No plans to change cars lol it took long enough to get where I am. Just if I wanted to build something else down the road would be a cool build even though no one local would know what it is . Looks like my heads are sold so may get to my new combo a year early.

I'm just hoping he ends up welding so many tubes into that cage that he can't find room to mount a seat in the darn thing, cause I'm not too proud to take a win on a bye run if he can't actually get in the car to drive it...! lol!
