  7. The big sedan closest to camera is a 1928 Studebaker FA series President, Studebaker's first straight eight; 313 cid and five main bearings, replaced a year later by a new nine bearing 337 cid version in the FB series.

  10. This one has been discussed somewhere else. From memory it is a late production American Underslung with later fenders fitted. Note the front ch***is irons. It might be one of the 50 or so left when the company went bust in 1914 and sold later by another company.

    The gasoline pump closest to the curb appears to be a Tokiem 620

    I've never seen these photos before. Look how far the steering column and wheel have been pushed across the car - it's almost RHD by the looks. No wonder James Dean didn't make it after being t-boned.

    '59 Buick. Buick was a sponsor of Hope's show for a number of years.
