does anyone have photos of model T coupes with different tops? let's say model A roofs for instance. i remember the first time i saw brian b***' 29 A coupe with the 32 header and windshield grafted to it. it really made an impression that stayed with me. now there's nothing wrong with the roof on my 27 coupe, it just needs a haircut. i'll probably fill it with 3/4 inch plywood covered with padded vinyl. but then i got to thinking, instead of the flat-top look, why not the rounded edge look of a model A? even bettter would be to do what brian did and use a deuce header to round off above the windshield also. so anybody recall 26-27 T coupes with this special treatment or can anybody photoshop something to give me an idea what this might look like?
It's hard to see, but one of my bud's T had an Edsel part for the roof. I think it was part of a trunk lid, but it could have been from a hood or roof. The dip in the center section looked really good. He sold the car recently, so I can't get more pix. Photo from Garlits 2015 Billetproof. Gary
Go onto the "Photoshop" thread and have Moose, James, or one of those computer wizards whip up some samples. (Or look at the thread anyway; it's super cool!) '30/31 roof to graft on;
I really hope you can find someone to photoshop this idea. Try it with both a 28-29 and 30-31 Coupe tops, and play with the window tops to see what looks best. Bob
Nice cup of "T", great idea, but I might use the 28-9 version. I'd include the covered visor too. Just a suggestion, but get on with the Photoshop already!
i agree, but a little change might just make it that much better, like when brian added the 32 header and windshield to his A. i'll link this thread in the phootoshop thread. maybe someone will pop in here.

i do like the look of the stock chopped T, as said earlier, it's what makes a T a T. but what i'm wondering about is whether i can improve on it a little. do you love it, hate it or at least find it interesting?
I Like a good a roof line, I like a modest chop on a T. But the combination of chop it to the point where the side windows look like Model A highed, is just perfect to me, but the flat roof will always pull the look of the chop down to a lower level. Here is some idea, some good, some bad.
Son, you're going to drive me to drinking Why not replace the roof with an early thunderbird plastic top add 59 cadillac fins to the rear and top it off with some Edsel station wagon tail lights. You would have enough power with that y block to run airconditioning if you would buy that Holley electronic fuel injection **** and it would have enough left over power to turn some 24 inch rims. Put it all together with a bunch of billet and you would have no trouble FINDING that young hardbelly with large breasts to do your bidding that you've been seeking since I met you
There just some things that you shouldnt do. Like screw with a 40 Deluxe(you cant improve it), Dont put a 32 shell on a 33/34(it looks like ****) and dont screw with a tall T roof line(there just fine the way Henry made them). Sorry just my two cents.
It's funny, a unchopped T coupe to me looks like a street rod, and with fenders they are even worth to me. A chopped 40 can be very awesome, but is so easy to F-up. And regarding the 32 grill, I agree that it could be a little miss matching, but it did happen, so it's one of those non-traditional era perfect thing. But I must agree that if I found an old car with one on, I'm not man enough to pull it and give it the deep 86. But I don't think I would install one on a car that never had one. But you are en***led to an opinion, and so am I. B-) :-D
Im just emphasizing my point. Tall T Era perfect lakes car Traditional and close to era perfect. To me the lakes car has a perfect chop, when the window ain't square, subtle but still no doubt it's chopped And this is the thing about the grill, I'm not man enough to pull it from a barn find. And I'm not fan of the grill on California kid, it's just to street roddey. But a 35 truck grill some how lands smack in the middle of 32 and 34, not numerical, but in the looks department. Nose lean, less chrom, and simple and to the point. Sorry for any thread jacking
