Looking good! Reminds me of the Bugatti GP days, there was a time when I knew the difference it total louvers on the Types 35 vs 37. Your finger tips should heal in time to wet sand the color coat. Bob

  3. i ended up re priming the out sides of the doors, deck lid and hood. then painted the under/back sides of them and the seat riser. i know i will have to wet sand ALL the louvers again........but i just wasn't happy with the way they came out.

  5. thanks Tom. Greg wants to run this without any interior for a while so i am making all the insides shiny.
in trying to get paint in all the nooks and crannies i have a couple runs inside the body that i will block and buff out.........first time i ever had to do that. he will be able to brag that the inside of his car is better than some guys out side paint.:D;)

  6. sanded the parts again........i am happy with it this time.
    finger tips are smooth.

  7. not perfect but looks good.....for a Ford.:D

Back in my Bugatti GP painting days I always thought it would make for a great photo with a $100. bill coming out of every louver, the painted flames are so over done. Bob

  17. you know when the buffing wheel catches the edge of the piece your buffing? and it fires it across the room and knocks over another piece, which falls into the side of the body?.............

Sharp knife or stanley type knife, with water as a lubricant, ( I kid you not ) for fabric belted tyres, only use a grinder to cut the steel belts, once you have cut down to them with above method.
The grinder heats and melts the rubber and blocks the grinding disc.
But then again the sawzall idea may be better if you have one. ( I don't )

They say 3rd time is the charm. Well this is the 3rd roadster you have painted for me. And there are 3 threes in your user name? Good Karma!
