Man you have a great eye and an outstanding memory. The guys at the sites that I find them could use your expertise in identifying them and adding captions.

Ed Sigmon began racing at dragstrips at age 18 in 1960 with this pink 49 Chevy that was sponsored by Fiasco Automotive, a North Hollywood, Calif.-based shop that the late Richard Johnson owned.

Ed Sigmon began racing at dragstrips at age 18 in 1960.jpg

At the suggestion of Fiasco Automotive owner Richard Johnson, an MG enthusiast, Ed Sigmon built this '53 roadster, pictured racing Doug Thorley in Jack Lufkin's Corvette at a mid-1960s Hot Rod Magazine Championships event in Riverside, Calif.

    Edsigmon see email two.jpg

In the days when cars sported nicknames, Ed Sigmon had one of the more popular with his Snarpeezel, a five-legged creature that was originated by the car painter.

    Ed Sigmon email three.jpg

During 1970, Ed Sigmon briefly ran a 6-71 GMC supercharger and Hilborn bug-catcher injector. "It gave me too much motor for the car," said Sigmon, "and my wife didn't enjoy watching me make runs. So it didn't stay on there for very long."

    Ed sigmon blown altered.jpg

The replacement for his '53 MG was this '27-T Ford A/SR, which Bill Carter painted in pearl pink with candy-red flames. (yes I know this is not an altered but it's part of ED's story)

Hello Michelle ……. just wanted to clarify >

This is Bill who owns the "Magic Muffler Fiat". Your dad Gary was not driving the
car that day where it did this wheel stand. Gary was not driving for Jimmy at this
    time.

The guy who was driving was named "Paul" and this was his first run in the car and
his last run in the car. Bill Frontuto was driving for Jimmy from this point on.

I think the purple thing with the helmets came from Jimmy as his cars were purple.

I would love to share some pics with you. I have a beautiful photo of your dad
working in the pits adjusting the valves on the engine. Other pics too.

    My email is: corbettclassics@me.com

Hope to hear from you as I would like to get a pic of the motor explosion as well.

    Michelle,

I believe this might be the helmet you're referring to in the other posts.

Jim Miles traded the Fiat body for a Bantam and went racing in this for '68.

    Well Hey:

How bout an A/Fueler in your driveway as a second grader for a neighborhood pass?

Also, found this time slip in my dads old bag (which I still have containing fire mask, goggles, run book, rule books, etc)- not sure if it is from his jr Fueler or a/ fuel altered. Either way, dig the fckn speed!!! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1459907442.827315.jpg

Here I am, 10174903_241720242700042_8412859737547555774_n.jpg (after my southeast Asia tour), at Miami-Hollywood Speedway with Carl Hegge's "Norseman" AA/FA. I crewed on most of his cars. Car was driven by Rick "Surf" Stambaugh. Never set the world on fire but sure saw and did a lot back then. Car was built by 1320 Engineering in Norfolk, Va., painted by "Chip", and had a 392 Hemi for power.

Loudbang, Will's Fargo was owned by London, Ontario's Billy Kydd. Kydd is an inducted member in the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame. He raced this car for about 12 years, it held many NHRA record in altered and comp. It was the first gasoline altered into the 8's. Beautiful car that as far as I know still exists.
