    Fred,
    It could be gasoline-engine powered - please take a look at opening for air on the rear side of the body, behind driver?
    That "magic-box" could be reservoir for oil, with small pump? (too small for gasoline)
    For me - quite interesting is "bungee-cord" suspension, front and rear, and even more - serious faces of driver and passenger! The more crazy, small and modest vehicle - the more serious faces! I would like to have something similar - posing with wide smile while driving around, even when standing on parking place and making "brrrrm-brrrrrm"!

    ======================
    Rolf,
    Nice action photos from period!

    Does anybody know what was maximum or average speeds of such sport-racing cycle-cars and compared with touring originals?
    Another of my old dilemmas: why Bedellia put driver's seat at rear? Without passenger it could lift front wheels, or at least have too light contact with ground for effective steering, in anyway unusual and dangerous layout of steering and suspension?
    I suppose that GN, even in simpler cycle-car form is with much better performances and handling qualities compared to Bedellia and especially to many obscure cycle-cars with small and sometime two-stroke engines...
    Anybody here has personal experience with a few of cycle-cars in various classes?

  22. Lived in Hooton, Wirral for a while. I knew there was an old aerodrome there but never knew that there were Aviation factories;

  23. BTW - the aerodrome and field was bought by General Motors and they now produce the Vauxhall/Opel Astra there.
