I don't think they did have posi in the GM diffs used in the NAPCO trucks. What part of the video suggests otherwise?

You would think they were for Army trucks.

I believe that is a 1968 "California" GS. The rally stripe along the rocker came on the California GS.

This is a ’68 Buick GS 400. This model only offered a convertible for the GS 400 and Skylark Custom. The GS California was only offered in a 2 door post sedan because it was basically a modified Buick Special.

Cool, this looks like the high rise on Central Ave and Camelback Rd in Central Phoenix. I drive passed it quite often.

WWII trucks would have been manual shift.

The Korean era deuce and a halfs had the 302 hydro setup. I would have expected divorced transfercases, but I could be wrong.

Now, I really want to know. I'm not convinced that is a 4WD transfer case. I don't see a forward output. They could have run dual rear outputs to tandem rear axles, but it almost looks like a single , offset output. Could this be for something that has two engines?

The exhaust dumps on the front. It is not a water-cooled manifold like a boat, but it may have a port near the exhaust flange where you could inject seawater as in a boat. What is that long tube on the top?

Looking back at the pic I think I see reversed cooling fans so air would be pushed forward or away from the engine through the Radiator instead of pulling through towards engine..The top tube over the valve cover is from the thermostat housing..
