Thanks for sharing your pixs Dan. One thing I always notice about your pixs is that they don't look quite real, natural. What type of filter are you using to get that effect?

Thanks odass. I hope you have been checking the other threads and non HAMB sources because I miss a lot of cars and skip a lot of them if I don't think I can get a half decent shot.

You're welcome wisdonm. In truth, I use a lot of filters and other techniques depending on the picture. I am not always going for natural per se. A lot of these have had the color pushed a bit, the grass greened up using a filter I made myself with Topaz Clarity, they are more vibrant and contrasty because I used HDR on them ( taking multiple images of the same shot at different exposure levels and blending them later. I use filters from Nik (now owned by Google, Topaz and OnOne) I also try to adjust the ones on line for contrast and color which can look different on different monitors because almost no one has theirs calibrated and many are too bright, too dark, too saturated, to unsaturated, etc. Those things will also make some images look less natural. They almost always look better on my calibrated monitor and printed than they do out on the net. Even the ones that do look pretty natural I have usually done a bit to - the main reason it takes so long to get them all done and posted. Here is a before and after of a very straight forward one that I did not do much to. I did combine 2 exposures in HDR, increased the contrast and color saturation, cleaned up the sky a touch, warmed up the light a little and sharpened it.

You're welcome widonm. If you see a specific image and want to know what I used, I can usually give a better answer. Unfortunately there is no one universal answer.

Nail heads seem to be getting very popular again. I sure saw a lot of them at LSRU this year.
