    These pictures only show a fraction of what Terry has at his shop - it would take a year just to catalog everything. Just a tremendous collection of old Ford parts, and the ones in the shop are mostly organized....want a steering arm, go over here and rummage through the two boxes full, want a rear trans mount, go over there....and on it goes.

    This project is still progressing at a slow pace, but at least it is starting to look like a hot rod again. Here are a couple of current pics. IMG_0763.jpg IMG_0764.jpg

    Right on Steve! Glad to see she's coming along! Maybe we could tour Terry's yard this summer when I come for deuce days?

    Good idea, Todd. Was over at Terry's recently - he is a very talented guy when it comes to fabrication, maybe the best in this area. Lots of interesting work going on at his place. As for the other Terry, we can take a run up there to see that huge stash of old Ford parts - you will be blown away by how much stuff Terry has - and all of it for sale.

    The 1953 Cadillac 331 fits in there pretty good, now I have to figure out how to mount the stock oil filter canister and the generator. Think I can make the oil canister work off the two left-side bolts for the water pump. Will have to make a bracket for the generator, because I am using a left-side stock exhaust manifold on the right side as well. If you have ever seen what the stock right side exhaust manifold looks like for these motors, you will understand why the change. This way, the exhaust IMG_0762.jpg pipes come out at the centre of the manifolds, not at the very back on the right side (with the stock unit). Any ideas for the bracket mounting would be welcome.

    I could ask a friend of mine. He has a 331 in a model A RPU. he built it in the 60's.

    But if my memory serves he has the generator mounted on the right off the water pump bolts and crossover tube.

    If you could get a pic of your friend's hot rod motor, that would be appreciated. It is the rear part of the generator mount that is the problem, as that bolted to the stock right side exhaust manifold, which I am not using. Going back to it would be easy, but it is friggin' ugly, so no chance. Will spend some time looking at as many pics of 331 motors as I can to get some ideas.

    ss34 did you ever put a lasalle in the coupe? I saw you're thread about wanting pics. I have a 37 Lasalle trans thats been converted that I want to put in my 34 and I wanted some pictures

    No, the Lasalle trans went elsewhere. It was a 38 or later trans, shifting from the side, and I did not want to cut into the x member of the 33 frame to make that shifter work. Your 37 trans is top loader style, so will not have the same problem. I ended up using a 39 Ford trans behind the 53 Cadillac motor.

    So you know SS that I dig that car of yours so much. Channeling.............. I looked at doing it also to mine but well.....................I've taken on enough and besides with the chop Berg put on it in the 50"s I was afraid there wouldn't be room for my noggin. I don't think I'd take on another project, just to damned much work and at my age after a day on my back under this one it takes a good day to get right again. Looking forward to watching this kool kruzer come to life.

    Larry - I dig your 34 coupe as well - you are so fortunate to have a rod that was originally built in the 50's, something most of us can only dream about. The Berg/Larry coupe is one fantastic hot rod!

    What are the tire sizes on the Coupe?

    Glenn - the front wheels are 15 by 5 with 185/75/15 tires. The rear wheels are 16 by 5 with 215/85/16 tires.

    on my 34, I wanted to run a full hood. the generator in the stock location would hit the hood. I bought a 12V generator. I am running it low on the passenger side. I had to create a new style motor mount that holds the generator and reaches over and around to frame. I will get some pics for you. It is still in mach-up stage since I can't find the time to get back to work on it.
