Customs 59 ford custom

I am new to this forum please bear with me. I have a 292y block. I want to upgrade to a four barrel or 3 x 2. I have an original y block intake Ecz 9425 -a I know the 9425 -b is the better of the two and will expect a Holley or edelbrock. Does anyone know which carb fits the Ecz 9425 A intake.

I'm assuming you're talking about the 56-earlier small pattern 4 barrel intake and the 57-up bigger pattern intake. The 56-earlier ones are made for the Holley "teapot" carbs which are neat looking but have a tendancy to catch fire and are also very expensive. There is a low cost adapter that will allow you to put a standard square bore Edelbrock style 4 barrel on your early intake, that's the way to go.
