Do the laser deal like they do on CSI showing the path of bullets. Only from all those guys eyes. I'll bet I know where they all converge.

 

I just ran across this; the driver is most likely Sig Haugdahl, a immigrant Norwegian, who was a well-known IMCA champion in the Central US, the car may be a Miller circa 1932, at Daytona (?). The lady has a fancy coat so it must have been winter in Fla. Great faces.

That is Sig, and the woman looks like Mable Cody- he drove some of her cars, and helped her on some of her stunts.

 

Here's a photo of Mable doing one of her stunts- should be Sig driving her Frontenac 300.

 

Just to add some info on this photo the lady on the right is Hila Bunch later last name Paulsen and now Sweet. She raced with the boys and won a lot. Later she and her husband Bob Sweet ran the Stock Island keys Fla track. She now puts on a reunion of the early California racers. Keep them coming... Bobby..

They may not be vintage but they were cute and they liked my truck.

 

Sacramento Silver Crown winner J.J. Yeley. Not exactly vintage but I was there that night in 1998 with my wife, son and daughter. Sometime during hot laps or qualifying my 12 year old son disappeared to get a coke or something, didn't come back for awhile. My wife sent me to find him and guess where he was? Yep yaking it up with Miss Silver Crown. Still makes me laugh.

Oh Yeah, and after the race we went into the infield and I introduced my 9 year old daughter to J.J. She was smitten. I knew after that night that my life would never be easy again.
