Picked these horns up at an antique store. Bartered the lady into giving them to us on top of the stuff we already bought. Any idea what they are from? I cant find any numbers or markings on them on frist glance. See attached pictures please! Any help or insight would be appreciated!
It's true that the '40 Deluxe horns had two trumpets, one long and one short for different pitches, but so did a lot of other cars, Fords and other makes. There are so many horn sets that look similar, it's impossible to say for sure. Horns are unlikely to be a one-year part, especially after they started mounting horns out of sight under the hood or behind the grille.. Car manufacturers often outsourced parts like horns, so the same AC, Delco, or Autolite horns could be found on more than one make. Ford Deluxes had dual trumpet horns, Standards and trucks got a single trumpet horn.

look like the spartans on my 50 pontiac , but I know my horns were changed as they were mounted on the driverside splash pan vs the firewall . my spartans say spartan on them on the front by the trumpet on the vibrator
