Had a great weekend down at the Boogaloo. After pulling the pin on the '36, knowing I would not make it ,I was lucky enough to get a ride with Steve & then Mark as we road tripped south of the border down Castlemaine way.

    6am meet up at Y***

The Boogaloo was everything I was hoping and more. Happy people, a relaxed atmosphere and great cars and bikes.
We gave the Cranksters picks to this super neat Geni Shovel chopper and to this equally neat T roadster.

Nice pics gentlemen. What's the body on this one? Judging by the location of the steering wheel it looks like it may be a trick getting in/out....

That's an Aussie bodied 34 which are different to the US bodies. This car was built locally in the early 60's by Custom Rodder publisher Eddie Ford with a heavy channel, different rear fenders and a 58 Edsel grill insert in the 32 shell. Eddie sold the car in the late 60's and it has been hidden away in a shed in Melbourne for about 40 years. The current owner made a special effort to get it running and show it at the first Boogaloo and he made it. Lots of Aussies knew of this car but had never seen it and didn 't know if it still existed.

Sorry Sancho, I'm a dinosaur when it comes to computers but here's a link to a pic on the Boogaloo facebook page. Hope it works

    https://www.facebook.com/theboogalo...0872167996300/948636208553229/?type=3&theater

I've got a lot of history with this car as it and my T-bucket were built side by side in the shed on Eddie's farm back in the early 60's. The 2 cars were parked together at the Boogaloo being the first hot rods built in the Castlemaine area and the pic of Eddie's car was taken before I arrived.

Does anyone know the owner of the maroon 32 5w OR does anyone know what color it is?
I wish I could figure out how to post the picture, but my desktop computer is being upgraded.

That was a brand new car and came from Adelaide, South Australia. If no one from there chimes in I could track him down for you. You do realise that it was an overcast day so the color looks a bit darker than it actually is.

This show has a lot of cooler cars than shows stateside. Thanks for the pics.

Also, are these just moon caps on Ford wires with a hole cut in them to allow the wire wheel hubcap to peek through? Always wondered because I'm thinking about doing it.

They look like spun discs made by a member here on the HAMB. Probably over wire wheels. Search for "spun discs" and you will find out all about them.
    Thanks Swifty.
