  1. I could use a set of those edelbrock heads to make my recreation of my grandpas roadster correct to the era. Please pm if they will be for sale. Thanks great find...

  5. That has happened to me. Made a deal on a 4-car garage of stuff, hauled a lot the first weekend, came back the next weekend and the woman had let her nephew and his friends help themselves to a whole lot of what I thought was my stuff. I lost some very nice old hot rod parts and tools. I wasn't out a lot of money, but it likely went for scrap and I wasn't too happy about that.

Man, oh man....I think I would have fell over backwards standing in that doorway!!!...sorta, like a 'thud' of a 4x4 hitting the floor (but with a silly grin)....I love the whole idea of suddenly 'finding' parts like this...doesn't happen very often....pretty darn cool if you ask me!

The first load had some cool stuff in it. A box of accessories side seach lights. Some great 40 coupe stainless , a split window frame kinda like a duvall window, 4 mercury cranks , and an aftermarket shifter for sideloader transmissions. Being my favorites out of the bunch. There is probably 10-12 more loads there. I'll post pics of the cherry picked stuff later.

Amazing. Just goes to show that what you "save" eventually
becomes the property of someone else. It would be interesting to
know the "back story" on these goodies.

You are going to be very tired when this moving job is done. Be careful, make sure you don't damage or miss anything. It all starts looking the same after about 6 loads.

(I once worked for an auction buyer with a store - think Storage Wars types. Lots of stuff got missed or ruined at the end of long days)

In addition to my '40 Standard grille (post #17), if there is one, I also call dibs on a '40 split core radiator...

I am only 2 hrs away (from Ashville), and would gladly help you cherry-pick.

    Wow, what a treasure trove.
From the looks of all the sheetmetal, drivetrains, radiators, etc., it looks like he may have flat parted out a slew of early Fords years ago.

BF Comfort is right. Take your time and pack the truck carefully so you don't damage anything. Maybe take all the trim and delicate stuff in a load separate from the heavy metal or place some in the cab each load.

It's a blessing that the quonset hut has a tailgate level dock! You can use a hand truck or wheeled carts.

Stretch, stay hydrated and take help. Take my word for it, you don't want to throw your back out.

How long have the parts been there?
Gotta wonder how many other stashes like this are squirelled away around the country...

That's awesome. Let me know if you find any front crossmembers with the radiator mount brackets attached or separate radiator brackets for a 39 standard. I got cash!!!!
