Gary, yes Mickey finished the car & ran it at Bonneville. It did not set the land speed record & Ford pulled out of all racing the next season so the car was parked. Mickeys son Danny has rebuilt the car & hope to have enough salt to set the record this season. He made a check out pass last year @ 419 MPH.

 

That picture in Logan, what's with the skirts on the pickup two spaces past the Hudson??

 

I saw that. That is a rare sight!

 

Early in the season, in April 1957 the FI's, blown Ford's, and multiple carbs were done. Single 4 barrels or holes became the rule..
