Hey Brooklyn, your car came out amazing. Why is it that anytime my friends run off with my stuff, it comes back broken and out of gas? If 'Your' friend is looking for a place to crash in the Chicago/Milwaukee area, I've got just the place.....are and he can 'borrow' my 50 anytime he wants...

  2. Whenever this roof pops ups on the board I'm amazed at how great it looks and more so that the whole paint job was done in two days (if I'm reading correctly), just awesome work.

Speaking of unsafe, I'm trying to get my corvair up to daily driver status. That's why I'm leaving the body as is (some rust but nothing terrible) and focusing on everything mechanical.

Rust never sleeps. As a daily driver the rust will soon take over and it will get terrible. After that there won't be anything left in short order.

Yeah, I cleared over it with satin where its only surface rust (because the paint is so faded.) the actual rot is the floors which I'm in the process of replacing. I've seen people use linseed oil on surface rust as well. The lower doors are somewhat bad but I figure those can get patched at any time.

You are the celebrity, having friends like that to help and do a fantastic job of painting the roof

    Some wicked rides.

Many Buicks whats a good thing in my books.

Those lights you asked about kinda look like what the Brits used. Brand Lucas. I used some on my 52 Buick. Come in different colours. Chrome and glass not plastic. Click images below to take you to a site with a lil more info. Sure you could source em locally.

Apparently there is also a caravan type for the beehive shape that didn't have the big center bulb hole.
I went for the lower profile type on my Buick. I changed it so the old indicators are now headlights. Looks cool at night due to the spacing from main lights..

Parked up since 1967 in a dry garage surrounded by rat poison. Swapped out old battery, sucked through the gas and it started right up. ( then leaked water everywhere cus water pump seal was fucked...)
Will be doing a build thread on it as i swap out the Inline 6 for a Nailhead.

4 doors, 2 doors, even more doors? Heck! I am grateful that I see anything pre-1970's on the road! BTW... That four door Buick looked awesome! Thanks for posting it.
