Man, what a great pic! Can you send me the full size version....might need to blow that one up and frame it on the wall. :)

  3. This sled is a goer.
I can't remember which show we were going to, or if we were on our way home, but we were clipping along at about 70. When we caravan to a show, we always ride in the "slow lane" and I'm always in the back. I like to see the line of cars ahead of me, and I drive a little slower than everyone else so I can gawk and check out the sites on the road.
Anyway, coming up on my left in the distance I could see a tiny bright colored car. As the car got closer, I could see it was the "peach sled". At that time it was mostly peach, but it had alot of the body covered in ruddy brown primer. It caught up to me in no time and pulled up along side. The driver smiled and gave me a thumbs up, tooted the horn and off he went. I watched as he pulled up to each car in our group, slowed and went on. He eventually passed all of us and disappeared in the distance ahead.
On our next gas stop we all were talking about the car. He did the smile, thumbs up and horn honk to each of us. Seemed like a nice guy.
That car must run 90 or 100 all day long. He left us way behind and we never saw him again! E

Yes, it was a very interesting read about an even more interesting car! I love the factory stick on the Olds. Notice the builder mounted a radio antennae on the REAR DOOR! He eliminated the door handles to give the impression of a 2 door, and I think he convinced himself the car was a 2 door! Not being a fan of continental kits, it is hard for me to accept one on any ride. The extension of the Buick quarters lends it's self well to the acceptance of a continental kit, but this car needs the skirts on. CKs with out skirts just don't jive. And the Olds definitely needs lowering!

    Old joke from CarToons.
"Hey I bought a new car!"
    "Did you get a Falcon?"
"No, I think I got a pretty good deal."
    (insert rimshot)
While that got by the censors, I figured I would post up a few pics of custom Falcons this morning. Most you see are done up mild, but they make great little cars done any way.
    Here are a few examples...
'60 Buick taillights are a great touch!

Jeff also did some major work on Voodoo Jim's Buick. The fade work is amazing.

Hey Mick, do you or anyone else know anything about the blue ford wagon which I believe is a custom job. If I'm right I'd like to know what they used for a donor roof. Again wanted to let you know we sure had fun at your show and look forward to next year.

That's the one, I'm thinking about making a wagon out of my 51 so would really appreciate any info you can get (Dr. Dave will probably shoot me!). Thanks for the comments on my truck but there were a ton of really cool cars at your show.

I googled Kotton Kandy 57 Ford . The first picture up was Jeff's car followed by stock 57 Fords and a few 57 Chevys .

Just read that Ray Evernham got the '58 Impala from American Graffiti and is in the process of restoring it.

Is the blue wagon a 52-54 Ford 2 door wagon with earlier front sheetmetal (and windshield) grafted onto it?
