Yup, a '51, so it didn't have the cool bumper guards, but it did have the cool grille bar, albeit beat to absolute shit. I still grabbed it, if it can't be straightened it'll at least make a cool wall hanger. It also had a (factory iron) finned head that says Kaiser SuperSonic on it, that's another wall hanger. A few other bits of trim and whatnot, that was about it. The back doors fell off it, it was that rotten.

  6. Not 1950 Plymouth as the taillight assembly is completely different.

I agree, the stone guards are Plymouth and the '49 tail lights sit on top of the rear fenders which you'd be able to see (although they might just be missing).

Here is the 1949 Dodge with the same taillight assembly.... 1949 Dodge Coronet.jpg

Appears to be a DeLuxe, judging by chrome on rear door.

    GreenMtnMan,

That's a '49 or '50 Dodge or Plymouth. Somebody will respond shortly with the details. If you weren't so far away I would be interested in that grill if it's not beat up too badly.

I think the grille has several bullet holes in it. There's also a 1956 Chevy, and another unknown car. On that one the left and right exhaust manifolds join at the front of the engine.

Could have been used for a lot of different things with that platform on top - camping with a tent, movie camera platform, carrying who knows what....

That looks like a great project 1937 Willys Coupe. Is that the one that belonged to Red Dawson?

  26. I took a little road trip this weekend, and spotted a few cars. My grandkids and I like to take all the small back roads. NO GPS lol. There is a lot of old cars, still out there. These can be bought too, as I always try to ask permission to take photos. The 40 La Salle had all it's missing parts on the front seat! If I wasn't building my T coupe, 001.jpg 002.jpg 005.jpg it would have came home with me.lol Ron...
